Teenagers! What the hell were these kids thinking? What did their parent's teach them? Who are the biggest idiots here? Is it the parents or is it the kids? These kids are just sick.

You tell me, is the world getting better or worse?

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Hamas to end truce with Israel

And we wonder why there is no peace in this world. Between all these governments which have no concept of peace there will always be war. Ours is not excluded. The pessimist in me says we do not have much longer before we destroy our planet.

Ugh.

CBC Arts: Rap mogul Gotti acquitted of money laundering: "'We did it! We did it!,' shouted Irving 'Gotti' Lorenzo"

Hey, that link didn't go to the source. Here it is!

Of if it posted twice, oh well, I'll edit it later.

CBC Arts: Rap mogul Gotti acquitted of money laundering

"We did it! We did it!," shouted Irving "Gotti" Lorenzo

Yes, we did it! We beat the system. We got away with it! yeah, baby.

I have no idea what this is about, but it sure is funny the quote used by this source! My embellishments are funny too, well, kinda sorta.

Abortion

I'm tired of this abortion BS that is flying around. Anyways, for those who really care, this is my stance:

Women should have the freedom to choose! This is what freedom is all about.

Abortion should stay legal.

Abortion should not be used as an after-thought contraceptive.

Oh, and stem cell research is a way cool thing.

nuff said.

Word Verification

So I start using word verification for comments. Lo and behold, no more comments and no more spam. Either I am falling behind and no one has any stupid comments to my stupid posts or the holiday season is here and everyone is preoccupied with being jolly, shopping, or depressed. Maybe even a combination of both.

BTW, I hope none of my readers actually got up early in the morning to get trampled on last Friday. How this must look to the rest of the world! Look at those stupid Americans, kicking and punching each other to spend money!

Hey, it's the American way, right?!

Sony ships sneaky DRM software | InfoWorld | News | 2005-11-02 | By Robert McMillan, IDG News Service

So, what do you think of Sony now? How do you feel knowing that a company will install DRM and rootkit software on your computer without your knowledge?

Sounds like we really do have to worry about big brother. Think twice before sticking that CD in your computer!

Edit:
I just read this article from Wired. Pretty interesting stuff about whether we can trust the security companies that "protect" our machines. Why was this not detected?
Rootkit story on Wired.

All I can say is, Wow. I'm going to see if Sony nailed me....

To Blog or Not To Blog....

It is very apparent that many out there do not like this blog. Tough shit. We all have random thoughts and blogging is one way to express them. We are all entitled to our opinions. I find it quite amusing to hear from those who do not like this blog since they seem to visit quite often. What up with that?

On that note, I will continue to blog. Though the frequency of new postings has dropped, I have not abandoned blogging nor the site of Idiot.com. And, if you have not visited the site, did you know there is no difference between a Typhoon and a Hurricane? Wacky, isn't it?

Have fun surfing the blogging world and the WWW!

Just when you thought the iPod was a good thing, now those who don't have it want it so bad that they will kill for it. Do you think that it is worth die for? If Apple just made the damn things affordable they would make bucks on volume and people would not have to kill for them.

I do not own one, do you?

100 Grand! Woooohoooo!

100 Grand?

I wasn't sure I would comment on this, but man are people gullible.

You may recall a bit I did on the lady who won the Toy Yoda? Well this one is right up that alley. WLTO-FM had a contest and you had to call in to win 100 Grand. As usual, everyone thinks they will win $100,000. NOT. They win a candy bar! I love this type of contest, but the B@%^$%#@ is suing for her 100 grand! Check out the story here. Thanks to KRON for posting this story!

Norreasha Gill must be one gullible person, eh?

CNN.com - Woman, 83, fights eviction from national park home - Jun 13, 2005

Can you believe that the government is at it again?! This lady is fighting to stay on this property and it is only until she passes on. It's amazing what our tax money really goes to. I hope the special bill passes and she gets to stay. Isn't it fair enough that when she is dead, the land reverts to the government?

Link swapping

Wow. It's been almost a whole month since my last post. I really have been busy. New boss and other weird and wacky stuff going on. Overall I really hate my job, but that is besides the point.

I wonder if it is new spam or just some annoying people without real names, but I am getting emails from supposed individuals wishing to "link swap". It looks like requests to put links for a website on your own page in exchange for them putting links on their sites. Well, Annajooeasis, I don't think so. Yeah, these names are really far out. So for all those idiots out there, first red flag on spam and other baddies is the name. If you don't recognize it or it seems to be foreign, pun intended, then you better be cautious.

Oh, have you seen the news? I haven't. Any new fingers in the soup lately?

Have fun! Ride hard!

More Skulls?

Science News Article | Reuters.com

Oh my.

Mammoth! From Rueters

Science News Article | Reuters.com

Now this is a pretty cool find. I think this should be shown at the LA Natural History Museum.

Have any visited the La Brea Tar Pits? If you every visit LA (and who really would, yuck yuck) this is one place to check out.

LET HER GO!

I think Congress, the President, the world should not be involved with this poor lady's life/death choice. It is a family matter. The husband has spoken. The parents have lost. Let this lady go.

It is ludicrous that a country's' government should be involved in the life and death of people. Leave that to the wars. Let people decide for themselves how they wish to live and die. Government has overstepped it's bounds once again.

Rest In Peace Mrs. Schiavo.

Things on my mind

OPINIONS ONLY.

Baseball: We make a big deal over some idiots that wanted to "perform" better. So they were inadequate and decided to use steroids. Thanks for making America's past time a joke. Anyways, why is the government involved in this? Am I missing something? Help me here.

Robert Blake not convicted? What's with this? We throw Martha Stewart in jail for lying about something that she was not guilty of doing (she was never found guilty of anything, folks,) but we do not find an actor guilty of murder and he was on the premise at the time of the killings. We have strange priorities, eh?

Finally, real justice. Scott Peterson is sentenced to die. The jury was easy on him. Throw him in jail for life and I bet he would have died faster than sitting on death row in CA. So much for our tax dollars, eh?

Too much thinking for one morning. Later!

People Think Blogs are News

Wow. Did you think this was a news site? Do you believe that blogs are real news?

Blogs are individual opinions. Ever heard of opinions? Real news reporting requires facts. I get most blogs do not check facts. I don't. I just give my opinion on what is happening.

I guess if you do not believe what the news reporters are reporting, the blog next door is just as good.

OPINION. Look it up!

Bush, get your head out of your ass and get our troops out of the land of hate. Build a big fence around them and let them fight it out. The last one standing is the one we should talk with.

Hundreds Mourn Slain Boy at Emotional Funeral

Hundreds Mourn Slain Boy at Emotional Funeral

Wah wah. Oh, my broken heart. Hey, the kid STOLE a car. The kid RAMMED a police car. The kid DISOBEYED a request to stop. The kid is DEAD.

I don't know what the parents taught this kid. I don't know if this kid was on a path to gang activity. I just know that stealing is not good. Driving at 13 years of age is not legal. Disobeying a direct order from a peace officer is not a good thing. Running a stolen car into a police car is not a smart move. He was running. He was guilty. He was putting the officers and others in danger.

RIP, dude.

EDIT:
And now the police cannot even protect themselves in L.A.! It looks like HelLA is going to be just that, Hell. The gangs will run rampant. The crooks and thieves will have field days. They will use minors to do the dirty work knowing that the police cannot do anything. What a shitty say to run a huge city. Good luck Angelinos. OH, a don't' forget all the illegal immigrants, too.

Lawyers revisited

OK, so I took a lot of shit mentioning the lawyer thing on that McDonalds blog posting.

Here's the other side of the story as explained to me by a lawyer. IT is not the lawyers fault for such rulings it is the jury's' fault. Yup, the people who serve on the jury, at least 7 of them, are complete idiots for making such rulings. Yes, a jury awarded some dumb fuck who spilled hot coffee on his lap millions of dollars. I still think the jackass representing these nuts is an idiot, but I will concede that it is the jury members at fault. I think juries award such penalties because they hope to be on the winning side of one these cases some day.

I sat on a jury once. I did not fall for the smoke and mirrors and whatever brainwashing the lawyers do. The person was guilty. It was obvious. Yet there were those on the jury that just don't see things the same as others. You will notice that those who have some brain functionality do not serve on juries. They are too smart and lawyers cannot twist their thoughts as easily.

So, for once, to be fair to lawyers, it is the idiot that serve on juries who should be punished.

McDonald's to pay $8.5 million to settle trans-fat lawsuit - Feb. 13, 2005

McDonald's to pay $8.5 million to settle trans-fat lawsuit - Feb. 13, 2005: "No. 1 restaurant chain agrees to settle a suit over artery-clogging fats in cooking oils."

OH, great. Now that they settled, these frivolous lawsuits will run rampant! ARE YOU PEOPLE IDIOTS! How can you let some fat, heart failing, jerk off get away with this. We all know that eating too much shit will kill you. It doesn't matter what you eat, it will kill you.

I don't think McDonalds should be responsible for this. It is the person or persons ordering the food that is responsible. Individuals are responsible for their own health and well being. If one chooses to eat a fat diet or a trans fat diet, so be it. Let them.

GD lawyers. They are a pain to society, yet we need them for real things like murderers. Oh, wait they let them walk too. Shit.

State of the Union

NO. I will not comment on this speach. I've heard enough B.S. about social security.

Our borders are still open and unsafe. We have no money. I hate Socialism.

So that is it. I'm going back to work and earning a living unlike those who abuse the system.

Post Industrial America?

Is it safe to say that America is in the midst of the post industrial era? Can we say that America is not handling this era very well?

Since we seem to be losing industrial type jobs to other nations, we should accept that we are a post industrial country. We do dabble in some manufacturing, but it seems that most stuff is made elsewhere. We also have a large agricultural society, but even that seems to be dwindling. All signs point to post industrial.

Are we a technological society? We are entering that, but only in our big cities and only big companies. I live in a technologically advanced city. (I still consider it a town do to the backwards mentality of many of the folks.) I have high speed internet. The family has 2+ computers. Etc. Yet, many parts of our country is still a bit behind, technologically, though they are starting to come around.

Since we are bored, post industrial and technological countries have much time on their hands, our country feels the need to "interfere" with the doings of other countries. Our country has trouble maintaining safe borders. It seems that our country is not handling the current era very well. I think we should concentrate on becoming a better country. Work on making our citizens safe. Work on making our way of life better. I'm not saying drop all foreign policy, but hold back and stop being the world's police. If other countries do not want our "guidance" in their progress, we should step back and let them iron things out for themselves. Only time will tell if we are doing the right thing.

How do you rate our country? I love this country, but I feel we are lacking in some respect, as if we do not know how to handle our own situation. We are uncomfortable in our current role. As seen in our last election, half seems to be ok with our current path, and half is not. Since I did not vote either for the Dems or the Reps, I feel these major parties are not tuned into what we really need. Can this or will this ever change? I may try to answer that at a later time. As for now, that is what has crossed my mind tonight.

Later!

Books

Hey, what new books are you reading? Do you read?

I'm not sure what I am going to read next. Post a comment and share your reading list. I may post them to the Idiot Bookstore!

Technology vs. The Little Folk

Answer me this. Do you think technology is out pacing the ability of average people to handle and accept such technology? It seems to me that everyday there is some new toy, gadget, gizmo, whatever that is supposed to make our life's better. It also is apparent that many of these things do not improve our way of life at all. I have noticed that many people just cannot accept some of this stuff that comes out. Is a cell phone with a built-in camera really a necessary item? Don't forget to ad the PDA, the MP3 player, and the walkie-talkie. Of course the cell phone is just one example. At times I find it quite annoying.

Do you think the current fad is for people to "dig" technology for the sake of technology? I think the younger folks today are brainwashed into believing that they must have the next toy that comes out. I wonder if they believe their existence would be less important if they do not get that latest gadget.

Don't get me wrong, I really like technology. I think it is cool. I just see so many items out there that seem so silly.

What is the latest toy you purchased?

If you haven't checked the IN the NEWS posting

Hey, there is some activity going on with the In The News posting a while back. 6 comments! Wow.

Now the age group seems young. I think I will do a focus group on this and determine how such young folks are so political.

Anyways, at least we have some vistors. Thanks!
Now if I can only get to updating my web page.......

Have any of you read books in the Idiot's Bookstore?

Enjoy!
